Al Hassan, Industrial Estate Ar Ramtha Irbid, Jordan 21467 Tel. +962778463442 [email protected] www.zeusnonwoven.com Zeus Non-Woven is a new manufacturer of nonwoven materials based in Irbid, Jordan. To produce high-end nonwoven fabrics, Zeus has invested its time and resources in establishing a manufacturing facility that ensures quality production at all levels. According to Visakh Madhusoodhanan, technical and production manager, the founders of Zeus established the company because there was an increasing market need and urgency for consistent quality nonwovens. Spread across 10,000 square meters, Zeus Non-Woven’s production unit is equipped with the most advanced state-of-art technology to produce high strength spunbond and spunmelt nonwoven fabric with an annual capacity of 7200 metric tons. The company, which began production in November 2022, is currently focusing on the hygiene, medical and agricultural sectors. For the hygiene market, Zeus produces SSS, SSMMS and SMMS fabrics, customizing nonwovens to match specific hygiene requirements for feminine, baby and adult hygiene. Its fabrics have good abrasion resistance, are soft and skin-friendly, and have good water absorption properties. Zeus hygiene nonwovens are soft in nature, gentle to the skin and chemical free reducing the sense of plastic feel. With increased absorption qualities, smoother feel and neutral pH, Zeus enhances the consumer experience through natural additives that improve on friction reduction and skin wellness from moisture exposure. In the medical sector, Zeus produces SSMMS and SMMS high performance spunmelt nonwoven fabrics. Zeus Medica offers the ultimate protection for surgeons and operating room staff. Zeus spunmelt nonwoven fabric provides strong barrier properties and abrasion resistance while also being breathable and providing superior comfort. For sterilization and non-sterilization purposes, Zeus Medica delivers engineered products as per market requirements. For agricultural products, Zeus develops SSS spunbond nonwovens. Zeus Agro protects crops and reduces the need for chemicals, therefore promoting organic farming and better cultivation. Spunbond nonwoven material replaces the use of thin layer polysheets which have heat and wind perforation issues. The introduction of spunbond fabric as crop covers, fleece/mulch fabrics offers multiple advantages over traditional polythene sheets. Zeus Agro fabrics promote healthy growth of plants by stabilizing the level of moisture and moderating the impact of UV rays. Their enhanced stretchability and strength with better thickness provide Zeus Agro fabric with longer life on fields. Initially, Zeus is initially supplying nonwovens to the MENA region with a goal to expand globally and become a market leader, according to Madhusoodhanan. In addition to building and maintaining a high-tech manufacturing facility, Zeus also believes in developing and promoting sustainability through its products and production process. This has led to the integration of the Research & Development Centre at Zeus, where its nonwoven experts spend their time discovering ways to make the nonwoven process more sustainable. “We believe sustainability needs to be considered as a top priority, as our future generation counts on us,” Madhusoodhanan says.
